Post-Election Analysis (PRD)

Results, Task Distribution, Board, Deputies

Dear Colleagues,

At this point, we would like to once again thank you for your votes and your support for our list “Freie Unabhängige Beamte und Beschäftigte” (Free Independent Civil Servants and Employees).

Your vote is an overwhelming sign of recognition for our work and our goals. The election campaign for our list was short and intense – your support carried us through!

The positive voter turnout and your vote of confidence are both motivation and obligation for us.

Thanks to you, we were able to secure a total of 8 seats (7 seats for the non-civil servants and 1 seat for the civil servants) on the committee. This allows us to represent you, as employees, with an election result of 38%.

For the future, we aim to secure seats on the board and also to obtain release time, which we were unfortunately unable to achieve in this election.

We have already brought the following issue to the committee:

Job Interviews

As announced, we will continue to advocate for the Dahlem Staff Council to once again participate in job interviews for employees, as we not only have co-determination rights but can also provide valuable assistance in the hiring process.

In our opinion, this participation is an essential part of every hiring process. Additionally, it provides a good opportunity to engage in conversation with colleagues on-site, so that we can bring their wishes and suggestions to the committee beyond just the position-filling process.

On the Movement of Gears in Three-Dimensional Space

If you only look at the logo in two dimensions, it may seem that such gears could not turn. But far from it, because what spatial objects are truly two-dimensional? What gears are truly two-dimensional? This is, of course, a faithful representation of reality and thus a three-dimensional spatial construction (length, width, height), so it’s not surprising at all that the gears can turn…

We remain with best regards 🙂
